Mats to look out for as you level Thursday, April 09, 2009

I posted this in Wowhead as I level up Hashi. Since then I’ve updated this to include the boots and the cool down on ebonweave and added the additional boots. Enjoy.

--------------------------------------------
I have a lock that I'm leveling up. She's 77 now and I started collecting some mats in anticipation of crafted gear as I hit that last ding... :D I typically browse the AH as I finish my leveling for about 2-3 mins and see if some of the mats are available for a bargain.
I'm thinking the ebonweave gloves and chest with the wintry hat.

Ebonweave chest
105 FW cloth
28 Infinite dust
8 Eternal Shadow
1 Frozen orb
1 Eternium Thread

Ebon weave gloves
90 FW cloth
12 Infinite dust
4 Eternal Shadow
1 Frozen orb
1 Eternium Thread

Hat of Wintry Doom
105 FW cloth
14 Infinite dust
2 Eternal Shadow
4 Iceweb Spider Silk
1 Eternium Thread

Silky Iceshards Boots (added by response of forum posters)
60 FW cloth
12 Infinite dust
1 Eternal Fire
2 Heavy Borean Leather
4 Iceweb Spider Silk
1 Eternium Thread

For a grand total of.....
360 FW cloth
66 Infinite Dust
14 Eternal Shadow (140 crystallized shadow)
1 Eternal Fire
8 Iceweb Spider Silk
2 Frozen orb
4 Eternium Thread

I also have been searching the BOE shoulder and they seemed to run about 100g-150g in the AH. Anybody else have tips on what other items I can prepare for as I do the daily grind?

Edit:
Additional note about the ebonweave cooldown:
The materials you see above are raw mats that’s required to make the gear. However, you cannot just give a tailor the raw mats for it and expect to have it right away. The reason for this is the cool down for ebonweave cloth. For a (shadoweave) tailor (yes you even have to find the right spec-ed tailor) the cool down to create an ebonweave is 3 days and 20 hours. You will also need to be in dragonblight to create this item. So you have a cooldown requirement and a location requirement. This is similar to your titansteel cooldown but it takes more time and work. So here are the conversion for the ebonweave cloth. For each ebonweave cloth, you will need 10 frostweave cloth, 2 infinite dust, and 2 eternal shadow.
You can do 3 things with this:
- Wait. Find a shadoweave tailor and stick with him/her.
- Find several shadoweave tailors and buy their ebonweave cooldown.
- Browse the AH for the ebonweave cloth and adjust the mats above accordingly.
